You can remove an existing user-defined storage capability if you do not use it.

You can only remove user-defined storage capabilities. You cannot remove a system-defined storage capability.

If you remove a storage capability that is part of a virtual machine storage profile, you might break the virtual machine storage profile compliance for the virtual machines and virtual disks that use it.

In the VM Storage Profiles view of the vSphere Client, click Manage Storage Capabilities.

The Manage Storage Capabilities dialog box appears.

Select an unused storage capability and click Remove.

Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box.

The storage capability is removed from the list.
