You can assign static MAC addresses to a powered-down virtual machine's virtual NICs.

Power down the virtual machine before assigning a static MAC address.

Locate a virtual machine in the vSphere Web Client.

To locate a virtual machine, select a datacenter, folder, cluster, resource pool, or host and click the Related Objects tab.

Click Virtual Machines and select a virtual machine from the list.

On the Manage tab, select Settings > VM Hardware.

Click Edit.

On the Virtual Hardware tab, expand the network adapter section.

In the MAC Address section, select Manual from the drop-down menu.

Type the static MAC address and click OK.
