You can remove an uplink, or physical network adapter, from a vSphere distributed switch.

Browse to a host in the vSphere Web Client navigator.

Click the Manage tab, and select Networking > Virtual Switches.

From the list, select the distributed switch from which you want to remove an uplink.

Click Manage the physical network adapters.

In the Uplink Ports list, select the adapter that you want to remove, and click Remove.

Click OK.

When you remove uplinks (physical network adapters) from active virtual machines, you might see the NICs you removed reported in the vSphere Web Client. See Remove NICs from Active Virtual Machines.
