You can run the VSA Automated Installer on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008. Make sure that your Windows Server installation meets the VSA Automated Installer requirements before proceeding with the installation.

Two or three physical servers that have ESXi installed and whose hard disks are configured in a RAID volume. VMware recommends that you use RAID5, RAID6, or RAID10 configuration.

A physical or virtual machine that runs Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008. If you use a virtual machine, the virtual machine must not run on an ESXi host that you intend to add to a VSA cluster.

The ESXi hosts and the Windows Server are the only running machines in the subnet
