When you create an approval policy, you can add pre- and post-approval levels.

On the Pre Approval or Post Approval tab, click the Add icon (Add a level icon.).

Enter a name in the Name text box.

(Optional) Enter a description in the Description text box.

Select a manual approval requirement.

A manual approval is always required.

Required based on conditions

A manual approval is required based on the conditions that you select from the Clause drop-down menu.

Select the approvers.

Enter one or more alphanumeric characters in the Search text box, click the magnifying glass icon, and select the matching users or groups from the list.

Determine approvers from the request

Select the approvers from the Value drop-down menu.

Indicate who must approve the request or action.

Anyone can approve

Any one of the approvers can approve the request.

All must approve

Each of the approvers must approve the request.

Click the Approval Form tab.

Double-click the fields to make editable.

An approver can modify the editable fields when completing an approval for this level and policy.

You can edit fields only in the pre-provisioning phase. The fields are read-only in the post-provisioning phase and you cannot edit them.

Click Add.

Click Add to save the approval policy.

You created an approval policy. You can use the policy and apply it to services, catalog items, and actions when you create an entitlement.
