Machine blueprints determine a machine's attributes, the manner in which it is provisioned, and its policy and management settings. A tenant administrator or business group manager creates a vApp component blueprint for each component machine that will be included in the vApp.

Log in to the vCloud Automation Center console as a tenant administrator or business group manager.

Contact your fabric administrator for information about the templates to use.

1

Blueprint information settings include a name and description, machine prefix information, and the daily cost.

2

The build information settings determine how a machine is provisioned. Machine resource settings control the resources that a machine that is provisioned by the blueprint consumes.

3

Adding custom properties to a blueprint gives you detailed control over provisioned machines.

4

Use blueprint actions and entitlements together to maintain detailed control over provisioned machines.

After you create each vApp component blueprint, create the vApp blueprint. See Create a vApp Blueprint.
