You use the migrate.sh script to migrate data from a vCloud Application Director 6.0.1 appliance to an Application Services 6.1 appliance. The script prompts you for information about the migration and performs the necessary operations.

The migrate.sh script performs the following functions.

Moves the following data from the PostgreSQL public schema on the vCloud Application Director 6.0.1 appliance to the PostgreSQL public schema on the Application Services 6.1 appliance.

Applications, scripts, services, operating systems, VM templates, and their versions

All user-defined MetaTags

All deployments and associated information like state, deployment tasks, and more

RabbitMQ queue information

Moves the contents of home/darwin/keystore from the vCloud Application Director 6.0.1 appliance to the Application Services 6.1 appliance. When the Application Services application starts on the Application Services 6.1 appliance, it uses these stores for authentication and access.

Replaces the following files in /home/darwin/keystore/.

agent.truststore

appd.jks

appd.keystore

appd.pem

appd.truststore

appdcert.pem

ca.jks

ca.pem

Replaces the agent.truststore in darwin-cli.jar and nobel-agent.jar on the Application Services 6.1 appliance with the agent.truststore from the vCloud Application Director 6.0.1 appliance.

Sets the RabbitMQ server on the Application Services 6.1 appliance to use the same passwords as on the vCloud Application Director 6.0.1 appliance for the RabbitMQ users appd_server, appd_agent, and appd_notify.

Uses the migrated files in /home/darwin/keystore to replace the following files in /var/lib/rabbitmq/vmware-appd/

ca.pem

appdcert.pem

appd.pem

The system runs report.sh automatically at the end of the server data migration. The report produces a detailed list of the number and types of objects to be migrated.
