When you create a DB2 Server database, you must configure it correctly to support Site Recovery Manager.

You create and configure a DB2 database for Site Recovery Manager by using the tools that DB2 provides. For example, use DB2 Configuration Assistant to create and configure the database.

For instructions about how to make these configurations, see the DB2 software documentation.

When creating the database instance, specify UTF-8 encoding.

Specify the domain account as the database owner.

This is required because DB2 uses authentication by the operating system.
