A policy is a configuration that can be assigned to a dynamic group.

You must have a role that grants full privileges to create policies.

Roles that you are adding to a policy must have already been defined. See Create a Role in the vCenter Hyperic Administration Guide.

On the Management > Policies tab, click the add icon.

Enter the necessary information in the Create Policy wizard.

Text boxes with red borders are mandatory. The Next button is not enabled until all mandatory information is provided.

On the Ready to Complete page of the wizard, review the values that you have defined.

Click Finish.
