To successfully copy resources to or from a vCloud Director cloud, you must add disk storage to the vCloud Connector node associated with that cloud.

To add disk storage in vCloud Director, you must add disks.

You are a vCloud Director organization administrator. You are logged in to vCloud Director.

Power off the vCloud Connector node.

Click the My Cloud tab.

Select VMs in the left panel.

Right-click the console icon of the powered-down vCloud Connector node in the center panel and select Properties.

In the Virtual Machine Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab.

Click the + Add button to add an additional disk to the node.

Size the disk based on the size of the resources you intend to transfer and click OK.

Right-click the node console icon and power on the node.

Right-click the node console icon and select Popout Console.

If you have not yet installed the VMware Remote Console plug-in, you are prompted to install it.

If the node is still powering on, wait for the log in screen to appear.

Log in to the node as admin.

The default password is vmware.

At the command prompt, type: ls /dev/sd*

The new disk has a name such as "sdc".

Run the following command to add the new disk.

sudo /opt/vmware/hcagent/scripts/add_disk.sh <diskname>

Log out of the console.
