You can connect the virtual network adapter for the virtual machine and set the type of networking to use.

VMware Fusion does not support Bridged networking to a VPN. If you have set a VPN to have the top priority in your Mac system preferences, you must lower its priority if you intend to use bridged networking with autodetect in your virtual machine.

1

Select Virtual Machine > Settings.

2

Under Removable Devices in the Settings window, select Network Adapter.

3

Drag the Enable Network Adapter slider to ON.

VMware Fusion retains and reapplies the setting you select when you start up the virtual machine.

4

Select the networking type.

Share the Mac's network connection (NAT)

Connect directly to the physical network (Bridged)

Select the connection type in the pop-down menu.

Create a private network available only to the Mac (Host Only)
