Data Director displays system-defined alarms to system administrators and organization administrators. Data Director also allows administrators to create custom alarm ruless and to delete or disable alarm rules.

Custom alarms allow you to display information in the Alarms panel or to send email if certain conditions are met. For each alarm, you can specify a name and description and a trigger.

Administrators can delete or disable an alarm rule if is is not useful. You can delete or disable system-defined alarms and custom alarms. If you disable an alarm, you can enable it again. If you delete an alarm rule, it is permanently removed from the system.
