What's New in This Release
- Horizon View 5.3 Feature Pack 6 is a maintenance release.
Before You Begin
- You can configure the security protocols and cipher suites that HTML Access Agent uses. For instructions, see Configure Security Protocols and Cipher Suites for HTML Access Agent in the VMware Horizon View Feature Pack Installation and Administration document. By default, TLS 1.0 is enabled. TLS 1.0 is considered insufficiently secure and should be disabled unless required.
If you use HTML Access with a Safari or Chrome browser on an iPad, and if the View server uses a self-signed security certificate, you might not be able to access your View desktop.
Workaround: Use valid security certificates.
Feature Pack 6 installation fails if the desktop machine does not have the latest Windows updates installed.
Workaround: Install the latest Windows updates before installing Feature Pack 6.
When you upgrade or uninstall VMware Horizon View 5.3 Feature Pack 6, the Runtime Error! message is displayed.
Workaround: Click OK in the error message dialog and proceed with the Horizon View 5.3 Feature Pack 6 upgrade or uninstallation.
Installation of Remote Experience Agent with Windows 7 Multimedia Redirection component selected fails on a Windows 7 virtual machine.
Workaround: See the VMware Knowledge Base article 2102032: Installing Remote Experience Agent on Windows 7 Fails.
