You can calculate the number of ephemeral ports that are needed on each View Connection Server instance to support a large number of concurrent client connections.

Use the following formula.

Number of ephemeral ports = ( (5 x clients) / servers ) + 10

Where

clients

Projected number of concurrent client connections

servers

Number of View Connection Server instances in the replicated group

For example, you might plan a deployment managed by three View Connection Server instances. If you anticipate having 3,000 concurrent client connections, you would need 5,010 ephemeral ports, as shown in Example of Calculating the Number of Ephemeral Ports.
