Configuring Multi-site Event (WAN) Messaging

In a multi-site (WAN) installation, event distribution is done for every region in the multi-site-configured system that has enabled gateway communication.

In a multi-site (WAN) installation, event distribution is done for every region in the multi-site-configured system that has enabled gateway communication. The entry operations, create and put, and explicit distributed entry destroy are propagated between sites. No other events are propagated.

Before you begin, set up your multi-site installation and define and configure your gateway hubs. See Configuring a Multi-site (WAN) System for more information on configuring gateway hubs. In addition, you must enable data regions for gateway communication by setting the region's enable_gateway attribute to true in every system.

This section covers additional configuration options that affects multi-site event messaging.
