You can use either the Applications tab or the Users & Groups tab to entitle users and groups to applications.

There are two ways to entitle users and groups to applications. Both ways have the same result, so you can use either way that is convenient for you. As you configure and maintain Application Manager, you will probably use a combination of both ways.

Applications tab. This is convenient if you are adding a new application for existing users and groups. If you want to provision the application, you should do that before entitling users and groups.

Users & Groups tab.This is convenient if you are adding a new user or group for whom you want to entitle applications you have already configured.

Use one of the options below to add group entitlements or individual user entitlements to the application.

From the Applications tab, click the application to display the Edit Application page. You can use this page to add group entitlements or individual user entitlements to the application.

Group

From the Users & Groups tab, click the group name to display the Edit Group page. You can use this page to add application entitlements for the group.

User

From the Users & Groups tab, click View all users, then click the user name to display the View User page. You can use this page to add application entitlements for the user.
