You can decide what level of troubleshooting information to collect for your virtual machines.

The level of troubleshooting information collected can effect the performance of your virtual machine.

From the Virtual Machine Library, select a virtual machine.

Click Settings > Advanced .

Use the Troubleshooting drop-down menu to select a troubleshooting setting.

Default

VMware Fusion determines the best setting for your virtual machine.

None

Gathers no troubleshooting information from your virtual machine. This allows your virtual machine to run as fast as possible.

Hang/Crash

Gathers correctness information about hangs or crashes of the virtual machine.

Performance

Gathers performance information, such as when something is happening too slowly in the virtual machine.

The default setting is Default.

Close the Settings window.

Use Help > Collect Support Information to collect any troubleshooting information Fusion has gathered about a selected virtual machine. A .zip file is created on your desktop containing troubleshooting data.
