What's New in vCenter Support Assistant 6.0.2

  • This version disables TLSv1.0 and SSLv2Hello protocols and enables TLSv1.1 and TLSv1.2. For your security, VMware recommends that you install this update as soon as possible.
    Additional information on how to disable TLSv1.0 and SSLv2Hello protocols is provided in the Knowledge Base in article 2146079.
  • This version allows you to perform one-time data collection in proactive support.

Update to vCenter Support Assistant 6.0.2

When updating vCenter Support Assistant from version 5.5 or older to version 6.0.2, the procedure consists of the following steps:

  1. Install the update from the VA Updates tab of the vCenter Support Assistant appliance.
  2. Log in to the vSphere Web Client and restart the vCenter Support Assistant appliance.
  3. In the Overview page of the vCenter Support Assistant appliance, start the Reinstall wizard and follow the steps.

Resolved Issues

This section contains resolved issues since vCenter Support Assistant 6.0.1 release.

  • vCenter Support Assistant Appliance shows the following status "No vCenter Servers found in the inventory"
    When you open the vCenter Support Assistance appliance configuration, the Status per vCenter Server Instance box in the Overview tab shows "No vCenter Servers found in the inventory". When you log in to the vSphere Web Client, the vCenter Servers are available.

    This problem is fixed.
